Useful information about The Philharmonia

How to choose a ticket? It is considered that the best seats of The Small Hall of The Philharmonia are those above the sixth row. Those who sit in the rows close to the stage, clearly feel the vibration from the orchestra. For the organ recitals in the Grand Hall, it is advised to sit closer to the instrument, because the sound does not fill the whole room. The loges of the hall in the second row behind a pillar offer a very limited visibility. Please pay attention to this when choosing a ticket.

When to come? The entrance to the stalls is closed after the third ring so you will be offered a seat in the galleries until the intermission. For this reason, you need to come well in advance. Tip: the cloakroom works on a self-service basis, so it is better to arrive at the theatre early and leave coats in the cloakroom without unnecessary haste.

How to attend a free concert? There are two ways to enjoy «Concerts in the lobby»: show the ticket to any event in the Grand Hall within the current month or apply online on the website of The Philharmonia.

How to get the scores? You can get the scores of the performed pieces for the time of the concert for a small price. Tip: come up to the loge A - the librarian will give them to you.

Where to eat? The concession stand has a good offer of cakes and drinks as well as a sufficient number of seats. Queues are rare.
